This collection is an exploration of fabric manipulation using yarn.
Ideation/Planning
Style Inspiration: Molly Goddard
Molly Goddard played a significant role in the ideation phase of this collection. The way she takes the glamour out of her feminine silhouettes is inspiring.

Fabric Manipulation
For this collection I wanted to do what I love which is manipulating fabric into what works for me. My mind works in pieces so when presented with an assignment my instinct is to create something from scratch that I can manipulate to fit the design in my head. Using yarn is a must in my design process. Every design involves yarn in some way whether it is for texture, strength, an added visual element or to gather.
Brief: Tulle with kale green yarn laterally woven through it.
Brief: Organza and blood orange yarn pleated detailing along the skirt and torso.
Fabric: Tulle, Organza
Each look has its own color
